Today I decided to pick up my camera after awhile to take some shots. I went as close as possible to my home due to Monday laziness :)

The view on my hometown Izola (Slovenia), moments before rain started to fall on my head.

The weather was perfect to put out my 50mm 1.8 Nikkor lens to test it's performance. I think it did a great job!

On 31.1. 2016 was hanging around my hometown and came up with this shots. Must say that temperatures are pretty high for this time of the year but fortunately the sky, sunset colours and a little bit of a mist makes everything looking great.

It was such a beautiful and hot day, that I couldn't just sit at home and stare into my monitor...   Mesečev zaliv or the Moon bay on the picture above. Located on the Slovenian coast (Strunjan) is a wild natural beach under the cliffs. Beautiful. All the pictures were taken at the same place - Mesečev zaliv (Moon bay)

Today my plan was to take some photos of the Comet "Panstarrs" but I couldn't due to the weather (clouds). Instead, I got a beautiful opportunity and light to make some sunset shots.

1st picture:  Are you able to find the galaxy Andromeda (M31) on the picture? It's very easy. 2nd picture:  On the second picture you can find the constellation of  Orion with it's nebula ( M42 ), the red supergiant star Betelgeuse and the blue supergiant star Rigel . The brightest object on the picture is not a star, but a planet. Jupiter. To it's right you can see blue stars called Pleiades or M45 . To it's left and a bit down, there's a red giant star Aldebaran .

I took a walk on the beach of Strunjan with my camera on purpose, to take some shots of the sunset. The second picture was done few minutes after the sunset and as you can see, there's a big difference in colors, feelings and believe me, also in temperature of the air. The church you can see on both pictures is a town - Piran, Slovenia.

This is my hometown. Mainly visible only the old part of the town. Far across the sea lies Italy with it's Alps. In good weather conditions there is always such a beautiful view.
